During Apple’s Spring Event, Apple announced the launch of the new Apple TV and the exclusively of HBO Now on Apple products. HBO Now has been in the works for a while and rumors had surfaced about a $15 a month price tag, without a cable subscription.
It’s HBO on Apple TV without a cable or satellite subscription.
Apple made it official at the Spring News event and made it known HBO Now will only work on Apple products in the U.S. At the same time Apple took the time to announce a price drop on the Apple TV to $69, which is quite comparable to Roku devices. Though the Apple TV gives you more options for your TV, it still lacks apps (see our comparison guide). Biggest news was the Apple Watch, but you can google that for more details.
Coming this April, HBO NOW will be available exclusively in the U.S. on Apple TV and the App Store.
It’s $14.99 a month. And for a limited time, the first month is free if you sign up on your Apple TV, iPad, or iPhone.
